So my first thought as a giant lava-monster was speeding towards us at, like, five hundred
miles per hour: how the heck did I get here? I mean, one day I'm sitting in front of the
Master Emerald. The next day, I'm still sitting in front of the Master Emerald. Then, the
day after that, I'm about to die in a cave with a pink girl as my only company. See, this
is why I don't like caves.
Just as we were about to die, Amy jumped in front of me and yelled at the top of her

As we walked down the hall, Amy filled me in on how she came to be sucked into a wall.
Evidently, she came looking for the treasure (which I figured out on my own, thanks) and
brushed against the wall in a bad spot.
"How long were you in there, exactly?" I asked.
She thought for a minute. "Maybe a couple days? I'm not sure exactly."
"And how many explorers came by in that time?" I wanted to know how much
competition for the treasure there was.
"Five or six, probably. You were the first one who bothered to try and help me," she said

Knuckles' POV
I never liked caves. They make me feel all claustrophobic.
The only reason I was even in a cave was because I found some treasure map that led
straight here, and Sonic was too CHICKEN to come. Apparently he likes caves even less
than I do.
So after I found my way to the entrance, I went into the tunnel network, which I could
tell you was a mistake even before I went in. For one thing, the tunnel entrance was
